What’s your favorite memory from playing your sport in high school?
When the upperclassman did cheer initiation with our littles. We picked them up, got Taco Bell, and had a big sleepover with the team.
What advice would you give to younger players just starting out?
Make friends with everyone. Don’t be afraid to talk to everyone and put yourself out there, as a senior who has been cheering all 4 years plus being in 2 other sports I know that the upper classman look scary but we love meeting new people.
Who has had the biggest influence on you as an athlete?
I would say my sister Kaitlyn. She played football since she was in 3rd grade. She really made me see that I could do anything and be good at whatever sport I wanted to. She also made me realize there is no such thing as a girl sport or a boy sport.
How has being an athlete made your high school years different?
Being an athlete has impacted my high school years so much. I made so many friends with other kids, I got to create such strong friends and knew a lot of people through that.
Do you have a pregame routine for superstition?
I either get Starbucks or I get ready with Emily gibbons on FaceTime before every game.
