Tillie Averre ’26, Editor-in-Chief
Tillie Averre is a senior writing for The Spectator, at Independence High School. She’s excited to step into the role of an interviewer, photographer, and writer. She envisions initiating a partnership with Erika’s Lighthouse (a national nonprofit that advocates for mental health awareness and suicide prevention) to get more of a conversation going about why maintaining one’s mental health is important and how it might be hard to prioritize it as a high schooler. Outside of The Spectator and Erika’s Lighthouse, Tillie is the Independence Music Department’s biggest cheerleader! She is madly enthusiastic about the fine arts, and claims that the marching band shenanigans and musical rehearsals are the highlights of her high school career. At home, Tillie enjoys playing her guitar and singing, and plans to further her musical journey as a music educator at the high school vocal level!
