The Ohio Stock Market Challenge has started up again for second semester. Ms. Dotson’s Stock Market II class is participating. The contest runs from February 2 to April 10.

The Ohio Stock Market Challenge is an online simulation of the stock market in which teams from different schools across Northeast Ohio compete to make the most money. Each IHS student competes on their own team. The first place winner receives a prize of $150, second place wins $100 and third place earns $50.

All five competitors from IHS participated in last semester’s run of the challenge for Stock Market I and consist of seniors Anthony Sobonya and Vinnie Carriero, and sophomores Mitchell Creel, Owen Malone and Patrick Boc. Sobonya placed second overall last semester. Dotson is hopeful that the students have learned from their mistakes and will perform better.

Rankings will be updated weekly.
