How has being an athlete made your high school years different? It has made me a better person. I’ve met a lot of friends because of sports and it made my high school career a better experience.

What’s your favorite memory from playing your sport in high school? Pre-game when we would all hangout and get ready together for the game.
What advice would you give to younger players just starting out? Work hard even when no one is watching… it will pay off!!

How has being an athlete made your high school years different? It gave me something to look forward to at the end of the school day where I could go and be surrounded by amazing people.
Do you have a pregame/pre-performance routine or superstition? I would always do my own hair and my teammates hair before every game.

What’s your favorite memory from playing your sport in high school? My favorite memory from playing basketball in high school was sweeping Heights my junior year. Also spending hours at team dinners with my teammates laughing and playing games.
What advice would you give to younger players just starting out? Make sure you always keep pushing to the limit and do your best. Don't let others tell you what you can't do, because you should always reach for your dreams.
Who has had the biggest influence on you as an athlete? My parents because they have shown up to every game they can, and always support me no matter what.
How has being an athlete made your high school years different? It has allowed me to find some of my closest friends throughout different grades through sports. It has let me become more involved and allowed me to meet more people.
Do you have a pregame/pre-performance routine or superstition? Going to get Panera before the game with Tess, and listening to the same song in the car ride to the school.

What advice would you give to younger players just starting out? Don’t be afraid to try something new and always give 100 percent of your effort.
Who has had the biggest influence on you as an athlete? My parents because they have always encouraged me to do my best and not be afraid to fail and try again.
How has being an athlete made your high school years different? Being an athlete has given me more friendships and taught me to work hard with anything I do.

What’s your favorite memory from playing your sport in high school? Sweeping Heights my Junior year. Coming back from an injury and how close all the girls got this year.
What advice would you give to younger players just starting out? Just have fun with it, don't make it as serious as you think it should. In the future you want to think back how fun playing was.
Who has had the biggest influence on you as an athlete? Coach Zele has a big impact, bringing the joy of basketball back.
How has being an athlete made your high school years different? It definitely kept me more busy. It was nice to have the structure of playing a sport.

What’s your favorite memory from playing your sport in high school? Cheering at the Cavs Arena
What advice would you give to younger players just starting out? Even when things get hard try to stick with it because you’ll truly make some of the best memories and friendships.

How ha s being an athlete made your high school years different? Being an athlete has brought me so many friendships that I made throughout high school.

What’s your favorite memory from playing your sport in high school? Nothing specific, I just love the team and love cheering with them
What advice would you give to younger players just starting out? Involve yourself in everything, show up, show you care. The upper classman will appreciate this and through showing up I made some of the best friends I could ever ask for!
Who has had the biggest influence on you as an athlete? I would say coach burns. All though he is my throwing coach only. He has shown up for everything. He has pushed me to be the athlete he knows I can be and has pushed me to be a leader. This all shows through cheerleading because I want to be there for my team and push them to be great as well!
How has being an athlete made your high school years different? It has given me a home I know I will always be able to come back to. When I am done with cheer, I still know my team will be there for me always.
Do you have a pregame/pre-performance routine or superstition? Normally just blast music while I’m getting ready and in the car to wake me up. And I will either get an alani or Starbucks as well

What advice would you give to younger players just starting out? Go out and give it your all and make all the memories you can. You never know how fast 4 years goes by.
Who has had the biggest influence on you as an athlete? My parents have a big influence on me as an athlete because they push me to be my best self in any sport I play.
How has being an athlete made your high school years different? Being an athlete has taught me how to be a leader, a positive role model, and encourage others.

What’s your favorite memory from playing your sport in high school? My favorite memory is TPing with the girls team and going out to eat with the team.
What advice would you give to younger players just starting out? Do not doubt yourself. you can do more than you think you are capable of.
Who has had the biggest influence on you as an athlete? The people who had a big influence on me was Ellie Polter and Evan McNamara. two of my closest friends and supported me all through their high school career and mine.
How has being an athlete made your high school years different? Being an athlete in high school has brought so many memories, friends, and lessons that I will take through life. I think swimming made me learn that things will get hard and you have to work for your goals.
Do you have a pregame/pre-performance routine or superstition? For sectionals and districts, I would wear my freshman year cap for luck.
